As mentioned on the Basic Homebrew Recipe post, making beer can be as easy or as complex as you like. 
Personally, I prefer the easier options – buy the premade “beer kit” in a can, add sugar, water, some other bits and pieces, wait, bottle, wait some more, drink beer.

Turning 40 has been a roller-coaster ride of emotions…. well… maybe not quite…….
Anyway, it has certainly provided an excuse for some general fun, frivolity and silliness. 
I have been given some weird and wonderful birthday cards.  I’ve made a video of perhaps the “loudest” card.
